Student Pastor – First Baptist Church Brunswick, GA
Are you passionate about leading the next generation to know and follow Jesus? Do you have a heart for students and a desire to see them grow in their faith, find community, and live on mission? First Baptist Church of Brunswick, Georgia—located in the beautiful Golden Isles of Southeast Georgia—is seeking a full-time Student Pastor to lead a thriving ministry for middle and high school students.
At FBC Brunswick, we believe students aren’t just the future of the Church—they are the Church. We’re looking for a leader who can build meaningful relationships, invest in students’ spiritual growth, and partner with parents and volunteers to create a dynamic ministry that helps students become fully devoted followers of Christ.
What You’ll Do
- Build genuine relationships with students (6th–12th grade) that foster trust and spiritual growth.
- Provide clear, biblical teaching that leads students toward maturity in Christ.
- Be a consistent presence in the community—at school lunches, games, performances, and more.
- Lead and develop a team of parents, adult volunteers, and student leaders.
- Create engaging environments including mid-week worship, Sunday small groups, retreats, mission opportunities, and special events.
- Strategically reach students across Glynn County—public, private, and homeschool.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Undergraduate degree required; Master of Divinity or similar theological training preferred.
- 3–5 years of proven student ministry leadership overseeing a ministry of at least 65 students.
Knowledge & Alignment
- A strong grasp of Scripture and theology aligned with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission of the Southern Baptist Convention and Georgia Baptist Mission Board.
Gifts & Abilities
- A dynamic communicator with a heart for students and a commitment to the local church.
- Highly relational—able to connect well with students, parents, and volunteers.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic, sense of humor, and team-player mindset.
- Passionate about raising up the next generation of Jesus followers.
