- Select music: Choose songs that complement the pastor's Bible readings and direct the congregation as they sing
- Lead the congregation: Guide the congregation into heartfelt worship through prayers, words of encouragement, and praise
- Manage the worship team: Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers, and coordinate rehearsals
- Participate in church activities: Take part in small groups, Bible studies, and outreach
- Develop relationships: Build and maintain relationships with members of the congregation
The Qualifying Worship leader must focus on loving the people God has given them, pointing the congregation toward God's glory, and knowing God more intimately. They should also be able to communicate with large and small groups of people, and have servant a servent heart and good time management skills.
