Associate Pastor (Part-time)

Job Title: Associate Pastor (Bivocational, Part-time)

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Brief Description: The Associate Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor in carrying out the ministry of the church.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Confessing born again believer in Jesus Christ.
• Meet the character qualifications for Pastors/Elders found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Maintain a close personal walk with Jesus Christ.
• Ordained to the Gospel ministry or willingness to be ordained and gives evidence of divine call.
• Affirms our doctrinal statement found in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Bible college or seminary training is preferred but not required.
• Criminal background check required.

 Responsibilities/Duties

• Assist the Senior Pastor in the overall mission and leadership of the church.
• Develop and oversee discipleship ministry of the church (including Sunday School, small groups, assimilation, etc.).
• Preach and teach as needed.
• Assist Senior Pastor in shepherding and caring for the church family: which includes outreach, contacting/visiting members, and providing biblical counseling as needed.
• Coordinate with the Senior Pastor and other ministry staff in planning the overall ministries of the church
• Assist the Senior Pastor in providing leadership and oversight to the staff.
• Other responsibilities as determined by the Senior Pastor
