WOAK 90.9 FM (oakside.org) is a local community Christian station with a listening area of 80,000+, as well as an online presense 24/7. 50% music (inspirational praise & worship, & some southern gospel) / 50% programming - Charles Stanley, Adrian Rogers, David Jeremiah, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, James Dobson's Family Talk, Adventures in Odyssey, Unshackled, etc.
Update: Website is not up to par (church or station) as we are researching a new host. New manager can help. Our tower collapsed in fall of 2020. Insurance has settled, and we are re-locating to another tower. Will update some programming & continue to add fresh music.
The ideal candidate will have management experience & organizational skills. He/she should know how, or be willing to learn how to program, and build clocks into system. Acquirng new churches & sponsors is also important. Judgment of balanced music & programming is vital.
Station under umbrella of Oakside Baptist Church, & its pastor & trustees. Very friendly in the community. Advisory board envisioned for more community input.
Salary $25K - $30K based on experience, with bonuses given as new sponsors are signed on. As station grows with fresh leadership & new listeners, salary will be increased.
