Ministry Objective 

The role of Pastor of Students and Communications is vital to the vision and mission of our church. If we are to continue growing together as a Christ-centered family that loves God and loves others we must equip the next generation to do the work of ministry and we must utilize digital media to spread God’s Word. The Pastor of Students and Communications will ensure that our ministry to students and our Communications Ministry stay true to our core values of Biblical Truth, Dependent Prayer, Generational Unity, Obedient Worship, Passionate Evangelism, and Sacrificial Service.

The Pastor of Students and Communications at Whitefield Baptist Church is responsible for leading and overseeing the church’s student ministry (grades 6^th through college) and managing all technology and communication efforts. He will also be responsible for overseeing the Missions Ministries of the church. This role requires a passion for discipleship, an ability to connect with students, a heart for the nations, and proficiency in digital media to enhance the church’s outreach and engagement. 

Breakdown of Responsibilities and Duties (Include but not limited to):

• Student Ministry (60%): Lead comprehensive Bible-based student programming for grades 6-12, serve as primary Wednesday night teacher, and oversee Sunday School for Middle, High School, and College Students. Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers; organize retreats, special events, and outreach activities. Build relationships with students and families, support parents, and ensure all safety policies are followed and updated. Manage college student ministry, Equip Internship Program, and related budgets.
• Communications (20%): Oversee church’s digital presence (website, branding, app, social media) in conjunction with the Communications Team. Develop and lead the IT team, manage multimedia for services and events, and ensure communications align with church mission. Supervise related budgets.
• Missions (10%): Lead Missions Team to develop partnerships and organize an annual church-wide mission trip. Manage missions’ budget.
• Team Responsibilities (10%): Preach as needed, assist in pastoral care, attend staff meetings, and collaborate with church leadership and committees on ministry initiatives. Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
