Full-Time Worship Pastor

Greenwood Baptist, Gray, GA is seeking a full time Worship Pastor. The principal function of the Worship Pastor is to model, serve, and lead the body of Christ in worship, discipleship, and outreach through the music ministries of the church. As a member of the ministerial staff, the Worship Pastor will work under the direction of the lead pastor and as a team with the church leadership.

General Job Duties:

• Organize, coordinate, communicate, implement, and evaluate total worship and music ministry, to include audio/visual technology.
• Develop a long-range vision for worship-arts and technology.
• Coordinate music and technology for revivals and other church-wide special events.
• Be willing to enlist the children and the youth in worship opportunities. 
• Coordinate with the leadership of the children’s department and youth to implement worship opportunities.
• Supervise all worship opportunities to include the enlistment and development of the choral ministry and praise teams. 
• Be willing to enhance worship by including and supervising dramatic arts and/or by creating special worship opportunities.
• Coordinate the training and use of technology for volunteers.
• Be aware of the spiritual needs of the ministry area. 
• Be consistent in contacting membership (phone calls, e-mails, visits). 
• Be active in discipleship and encouragement.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervision

  Job Requirements:

• Southern Baptist who is a born again, baptized believer in Christ
• College/seminary degree or work experience equivalent
• Experience with worship planning and presentation software is highly preferred
• Choral and congregational worship experience
• Experience of live and post-production audio, video and lighting management.
• Must be willing to submit to, and pass, pre-employment and random drug testing at the will and expense of Greenwood Baptist
• Must be willing to provide a credit report
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
