Bi-vocational Pastor

• Responsible for filling the pulpit and leading the worship services every Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening.
• If unable to be present at any of the church worship service times, assumes responsibility for obtaining a suitable replacement to fill the pulpit and for any monetary reimbursement due to that individual.
• Willing to be available for and to assist with local visitation, wedding services, funerals, baptisms, and other ministerial duties as requested and appropriate.
• Provide spiritual counseling to church members.
• Assist the church in determining a clear spiritual vision for the congregation based on identifying strengths and building on those strengths while learning how to manage weaknesses more carefully.
• Help the church develop and maintain an outreach ministry for all ages.
• Provide weekly leadership on such events as the worship services, committee meetings as needed, deacons' meetings, business meetings, discipleship training, etc.
• Give attention to the standing committees of the church that need to be reviewed and improved in terms of completing specific assignments and doing so effectively and efficiently. 
• Help the church have a clear understanding of what it means to be affiliated with the Central Baptist Association, the Georgia Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. 
• Train members in helpful information about special mission offerings and the Cooperative Program. 

 Additional expectations are as needed only: 

• Designate one day for office hours and available on call by cell phone for emergencies;
• Communicate with church office and membership as needed (i.e. sermon outlines, newsletters, etc.);
• Provide support and supervision for the staff members.
