Lebanon Baptist Church Job Description and Qualifications
About Lebanon Baptist Church:
Lebanon Baptist Church was founded in 1903 in southern Taylor County, Georgia, on the bank of Whitewater Creek. It is a Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, and adheres to the Southern Baptist Faith and Message. Taylor County is in a rural area, and Lebanon is a small, traditional country church with a close church family. Lebanon seeks a pastor who is committed to preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. The church has a long history of supporting both home and international missions, and seeks a pastor who will continue this work. The pastor of Lebanon should be committed to a fairly traditional church service. The pastor is a bi-vocational position.
Church Programs:
In years past, Lebanon had an active choir as well as Sunday night Church Training services and other programs, such as prayer meetings, men’s breakfasts, and WMU. Like many small churches, Lebanon is still struggling to recover from the effects of the COVID pandemic. The church would welcome a leader who would help to establish or reestablish programs for church members, and particularly for church youth.
