Associate Pastor of Mission and Outreach

Status: Full Time

Purpose: To inspire, guide, and direct First Baptist Church in its effort to reach the lost, love our neighbors, and grow our fellowship.

Description: A full job description is available upon request, but the position will focus on the following items.

1. Be an active evangelistic and missionary presence in the local community. (For example: On campus college ministry) 
2. Serve as staff liason to local partner ministries and lead the church in best ways to partner with and support them.
3. Lead our response to social ministries and meeting needs.
4. Serve as the staff representative to missions committee
5. Lead hospitaltiy and visitor engagement ministry
6. Teaching responsibilities can/will include Sunday School, Wednesday night discipleship class, and preaching as needed.
7. Take part/assist in discipleship ministries of the church.

Requirements:

1. Calling: Clearly demonstrated desire and commitment to vocational ministry
2. Character: Above reproach and of good reputation
3. Competency: Having the necessary training and gifting to excel in this role (A Master's degree from an accredited seminary is preferred.)
4. Chemistry: Compatability with church body and church staff

Compensation/Benefits: Salary has some flexibility depending upon education and experience. The church offers insurance options, social security reimbursement, business expense account, paid vacation based on years of service to previous churches, and Fridays off.
