Student Pastor

First Baptist Church is seeking a committed, Spirit-filled, Christian leader with a passion for discipling students with the gospel. The Student Pastor will provide leadership and direction for the Student Ministry in conjunction with the entire Student Ministry team and work in coordination with the church staff.

The Student Pastor will be responsible for these areas :

• Develop and communicate the vision, strategic plan and assessment of the middle school and high school ministries.
• Teach God’s Word in a relevant fashion.
• Build rich relationships with students and parents by going where they are for the purpose of making disciples and empowering parents to disciple their students at home.
• Recruit, coach, train and encourage a volunteer team of interns and parents to connect with students and assist in student ministry.
• Give counsel to parents and students.
• Conduct regular and consistent communication with parents and students.
• Oversee Bible study, discipleship, fellowship and worship events for students.
• Develop and execute an annual Ministry Plan and Ministry Budget.
• Plan and lead retreats, camps, D-Now Weekend, and other Student Ministry events.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelors Degree Required

Bible or Seminary Degree preferred
