Church owned Coffee Shop ministry objectives: 1. Build relationships to share the gospel & disciple people. 2. Support missions. This will be a brand new project for which minor remodeling of an existing building (on church property) will be done, equipment purchased & set up, employees will be hired, and the ministry/business opened.
We have an ideal location at a primary interstate exit, across from a public high school (1400 students) and a large Christian school (700 students). 900 new apartment units recently opened behind our facility. The Christian school has 80 students on our campus, and the local Hispanic church meets here on Sundays & Wednesdays. Thousands of people pass directly in fron of the building every day.
We have consulted with a group that helps churches open coffee shops. They are enthusiastic about the prospects of opening a shop here. We have also consulted with local authorities & the health dept. Our buildings are paid off, and our small church has no debt. We are like a new church - planted from an older church, are are seeking the best tools with which to reach our community & the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our desire is that this will become a safe community hub. The potential is amazing.
The ideal candidate will be a barista with business management skills, have a passion for following Christ & the Scriptures, and a heart for ministry. He or she will be involved in setting up this project. We do have a consulting group who can guide. Salary will start as basic, and increase based on income of the shop. This is a ground floor project that the manager will be leading.
