Title: Worship Leader/Pastor

Position: The position can be part-time or full-time. Pay will be dependent upon your experience.

Job Description:

The Worship Leader is responsible for leading the praise team and congregation in Worship  in church services on Sunday Morning. He will also be responsible for communicating with and preparing everyone each week. We have transitioned from all hymns to a blended service with contemporary music. We are growing and we need help planning and leading the songs, software, and encouraging the congregation to Worship.

• A strong profession to have faith in Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior. Must be able to easily explain Salvation
• Must affirm the authority of the Bible and affirm the Baptist Faith & Message (2000)
• Have a regualr quiet time, to consistenly seek the Lord for growth, leadership, and wisdom

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior pastor and volunteers to plan worship services.
• The title does hold the position of pastor and must shepherd their specific people well. Encourage, love, and counsel them when needed
• Support the lead pastor in all areas, as he will do the same. Must protect our staff’s reputation and uphold the gospel to a high standard.
• Lead the congregation in worship during church services, as our goal here is to “Create a Heart of Worship” on stage and off stage
• Lead, develop, recruit new volunteers, and assist volunteers in the church’s worship ministry.
• Prepare during the week for Sunday worship services by rehearsing, selecting and arranging music, and coordinating with our volunteers, to provide a smooth worship experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in vocals and can play at least one instrument, Have a vast understanding of hymns and contemporary music styles.
• Experience leading worship in a church or ministry setting.
• Must be a team player and willing to work with the team with grace, humility, professionalism.
• Have the ability to use technology, worship software, social media and sound systems. We have ProPresenter in place with a recently updated sound system, with basic skills to run everything currently.
